Best day ever sailing down the K&A canal. So interesting. The owners and guys were so informative and amazingly strong. Loved every minute of the trip down to Hungerford. Then walked back to Newbury. What a brilliant day

It was the most serene experience I've ever had. The canal boat was horsedrawn by a beautiful shire cob called drummer. It was a two hour trip one hour each way and we got to experience the locks and how the boat is turned around. Really interesting. You couldn't hear anything but the birds oh sorry passing trains as I learnt that the canals help build the railways. Please really worth a trip. It is a small family business and the owners are lovely.

We hired the self drive Cygnet for the day. It was a fantastic experience that must be tried by locals and people from afar. The company is professional and efficient from booking to the end of the trip. The scenery through the locks and along the Kennet and Avon Canal was spectacular. The boat and the locks were easy to operate after Steve's expert tuition. Steve was a pleasure to deal with. Highly recommended.

If you like adrenalin and big buz, this is not for you! But if you'd rather chill for a couple of hours with only the nature's sounds, gently gliding on a river boat pulled by a horse, then you will love Kennet Horse Boat. The people looking after you during the journey are very helpful and approachable. This is the second time I went, and one of the guys remembered me! This mini croisière is a delight for those who like the country side and a peaceful ride.

A lovely way to spend a lazy afternoon on the river. Really peaceful with no engine as you trundle along the canal, a very different pace of life! The crew are really friendly and you can meet the horse who pulls the canal boat. Space to get out and stretch legs when you turn around and catering on board for a drink and a rest. Worth popping into the Dundas Arms at Kintbury after for a drink and a meal too!

Such a great day out !! All 11 of us enjoyed it so much, from the 9 month old to the 85 year old. Beautiful horse, boat and team who made us feel so welcome and relaxed. A really picturesque, tranquil journey along the canal, we really couldn't have wished for anything better. We even had hot drinks and cake along the way. Would highly recommend and can't wait to come back and do it again :)

Like boats, like horses and canals, then this is for you. We were booked on a trip with these people and were in two minds to go as I had just escaped from hospital after a respiratory problem and was feeling tired and down. It was a lovely day though so we decided to go, and the narrow boat trip was just the tonic I needed. Steve and his team are brilliant, explaining all you need to know. The horse pulling the narrow boat clearly enjoyed his 'job' and played to the audience, knowing that apple and carrot treats were in the offing! The quiet countryside was beautiful so all in all, it was a wonderful day and I felt so much better for it!
